and I’m so happy you’re here. Read a bit about me so you can suss out my overall vibe to see if you think we’d be a good fit.

First and foremost, I love the ocean, it’s the place I feel most connected to who I am, and where I get a lot of my ideas. I walk along it most days with Kona, my sweet and goofy German shepherd. I’m also most at home in the middle of the woods, listening to the trees whisper in the wind. I grew up going for walks hearing all about the different types of trees, mosses, ferns, and fungi- I was the kid who had a rock collection. A lot of my inspiration still comes from there today. I love games, if you invite me to play charades, Pictionary, guess who, crib, Mario Kart, we’ll be immediate friends. I prefer to sit with my back against the wall in a restaurant, the corner is the primo spot, randomly standing at an event is my least favourite- you can find me sitting on the floor chatting to any and all animals in the vicinity. I love dressing up, any opportunity to have a costume themed event, sign me up (I made my first cosplay at age thirty four). I love textiles, I’ve been a bridal tailor for the past fifteen years and silk is my all time favourite fabric to work with- I love natural dying with plant extracts. 

I’m drawn to art that’s a bit mind bending, especially surrealism, fantasy and sci-fi, and I think there’s a bit of that tone to my photography. I’m a very sensitive soul, I tend to be tuned in to people’s emotions, and this definitely helps me in creating a very safe, comfortable and calming atmosphere for my dear clients. I’m definitely more on the quiet side in general, but can abruptly exclaim when talking about something I’m passionate about. Photography for me is much more than taking beautiful photos or capturing a moment, it’s about the connection between me and you, the connection between you, the people I’m photographing, or with yourself, and it’s about encapsulating the feeling in that moment to the best of my ability. That’s why I like to get to know you a bit before a session, so your photographs can be as true to you and as true to the moment as possible.

I also feel I must mention that I have an adorable little cat Oliver who loves hunting my hand under the duvet.
