Hi there - I’m Jennie, and one of my favourite places to be is behind a camera, taking the time to really notice, see, and feel the people in front of me. Whether its the raw intimacy of you and your partner at home, the quiet power of an embodiment session, or a free flowing elopement, my intention is always the same- to capture moments in images that FEEL like you. 

Outside photography I love natural dying fabrics, playing games, I can and will make a game out of trying to guess your favourite band or food, dressing up- murder mystery, themed party, yes please. I will absolutely be the one at a gathering who is on the floor talking to all the pets for most of the evening. One of my absolute favourite things to do is dance, music is medicine. You’ll find me mapping my travels around carefully researched coffee shops, elaborately decorating cakes for friends, wandering along the ocean with my german shepherd Kona, trying to sneak in some snuggles with my little cat Oliver, or cleaning up one of the copious amounts of coffee or other spills throughout the day.

I find inspiration in film- a few favourites include The Shape of Water, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- as well as art in its many other forms, a real fan of surrealism, and always always find inspiration in nature. I’m most at home near the ocean and second would be deep in the middle of a forest.

My hopes in working with you is to make you feel as comfortable as possible in your skin, it's not always an easy place to be. I want to capture the little moments that otherwise may go unnoticed; the way you brush the hair out of your partners face, the way you relax your shoulders when you sink into yourself, a family member's eyes while you exchange vows. When it comes to photography, above all, I care about creating images that feel honest, and alive, in an environment that feels safe - the kind that remind you of who you are, who you love, or how far you’ve come, when you may be feeling a little off kilter.
